
Eugenia Cooper Wootton (Gettysburg College ’76, University of Baltimore School of Law ’81), a partner, joined the firm in 1984 after practicing at Adkins, Potts & Smethurst in Salisbury.
Eugenia represents clients in the areas of Real Estate, Wills, Estates, Probate and General Business Law. She has served on the Kent School and Chestertown Bank boards, the Chester River Health System (Vice-Chair), the Kent County Ethics Commission (Chair), a director of PNC Bank, and has been a member of the Attorney Grievance Commission Peer Review Panel. The Court of Appeals of Maryland has appointed her as a member of the Character Committee for the First Appellate Circuit of Maryland. She is a member of the Maryland, Women’s and Kent County Bar Associations.
She is a Kent County advisor for the Mid-Shore Community Foundation (MSCF) Board. She is the 2013 recipient of the MSCF Golden Key Society Award for professional services that have made a significant impact on philanthropy in the Mid-Shore region.

Kathleen Wootton Hurd (James Madison University ’09, cum laude, University of Baltimore School of Law ’12, magna cum laude), a partner, joined the firm in 2012. She is currently practicing in the areas of Real Estate, Wills, and Estates and Trusts.
Kathleen is currently serving as a Director of Chesapeake Bank & Trust. She is also a member of the Strategic Planning Committee for Kent School, Inc. Kathleen is a Kent County advisor for the Mid-Shore Community Foundation (MSCF) Board. She is the 2014 recipient of the MSCF Golden Key Society Award for professional services that have made a significant impact on philanthropy in the Mid-Shore region.
She is a member of the American, Maryland, Women’s and Kent County Bar Associations.
